Between 24 December 2025 and 5 January 2026, Dunedin Public Libraries will operate on reduced hours.
COMMUNITY LIBRARIES AND RETURN SLOTS: Closed
CITY LIBRARY: Ground and first floors open for wifi, computers, printing, photocopying and borrowing during the following hours:
- 24 December - Close at noon
- 25 & 26 December - CLOSED
- 27 & 28 December - 11am – 4pm
- 29 - 31 December - 10am – 4pm
- 1 & 2 January - CLOSED
- 3 & 4 January - 11am - 4pm
- 5 January - All libraries reopen

Pay and display underground parking is available for $3.00 per hour (maximum stay one hour) during the following hours: Monday – Friday 7.15 am – 8 pm; Saturday and Sunday 10.15 am – 4.00 pm. Drive up the ramp which is past the Town Hall and Library entrances on Moray Place, just before George Street.
MOBILE LIBRARIES
The Bookbus service is your Library on wheels. Our two buses visit 50 stops each week, from Mosgiel to Portobello.
